Day 1: Welcome to Raplamaa

Raplamaa is a peaceful green haven county, where your 3-day journey begins, filled with nature, hidden gems, and refreshing water adventures!

Mukri is one of the oldest bogs in Estonia and a perfect destination for families looking to explore a peaceful and accessible nature trail. The boardwalk loop is about 2.5 km long, making it ideal for younger children to walk. Along the way, you’ll pass a watchtower with wide views over the bog landscape and a quiet dark bog lake – great for nature photos, swimming and spotting birds. Mukri is also an excellent spot for a family picnic. There are several resting areas along the trail where you can sit down, enjoy the fresh air, and have a snack or lunch, so it’s a good idea to bring your own food and drinks along.

Rapla town welcomes you with an unhurried atmosphere, a touch of history, and friendly locals. After Mukri adventures it's a lovely place for a family meal!

For excellent burgers and salads, visit Hollivuud Lounge in the town center. On Thursdays and Fridays, don’t miss Bakelin, a charming local bakery known for its fresh pastries, signature bread and great coffee. Its highlight is the Escape Forest — an outdoor escape game in the woods where teams solve puzzles to "escape" within a set time. Nature lovers can join guided bog shoe hikes to explore Rapla County’s serene, off-trail landscapes. In winter, the experience transforms into snowshoe hikes, revealing the tranquil beauty of snow-covered bogs.

Guests can also spend the night in authentic Native American tipis with a central campfire, creating a rustic yet comfortable retreat. Whether you're solving forest puzzles, hiking through bogs, or sleeping under the stars, Preeriakoda offers a memorable connection to nature and Estonian culture.
